frequently asked questions

IS THE VENUE EXCLUSIVE?

Yes, we only hold one wedding per weekend. This enables all suppliers to arrive on site early in the week to set up and means the focus is entirely on your special day.

CAN I USE MY OWN SUPPLIER?

We work with our recommended tent suppliers and caterers. Upon booking you will have access to our friends list; our trusted suppliers and favourite professionals. For your benefit, and our sanity, we ask that you use one of our caterers and tent suppliers, but can be flexible on request. If you do choose to go with a different caterer or tent supplier, we charge a 15% risk and handling fee. Other than that you are able to bring in your own suppliers, provided they have the appropriate credentials.

WHEN CAN I ACCESS THE SITE?

We allow access the day before your wedding between 1pm and 5pm, this can be extended for professional suppliers, for set up. You also have access from 10am to 12pm the day after your wedding for take down, again, this is extended for professional suppliers.

CAN I HOLD AN EVENT THE DAY BEFORE/DAY AFTER?

Yes. For an additional cost, we are happy to host an event either side of your big day. For example, a rehearsal dinner or afternoon tea/brunch the day after. Subject to availability from our tent partners.

WHAT CEREMONY CAN I HAVE?

We are licensed for civil ceremonies, inside the Manor House for up to six guests, or on one of our three lawns for up to 200 guests. We are also able to host celebrant ceremonies or a Church ceremony in St Peter’s Church in our grounds.

CAN WE ACCESS THE MANOR HOUSE?

The manor house is only available for access to the Married Couple on the wedding day, for photographs in the estate rooms and access to the cloakroom toilet until 10pm. Weddings with a maximum of six witnesses can take place in the drawing room.

DO YOU OFFER ACCOMMODATION?

We do not offer accommodation inside the Manor House, but have an Airbnb cottage ‘The Gardener’s Cottage’ in the grounds of the estate. We can also arrange for beautiful bell tents to be hired for your wedding party, for a maximum of forty guests. We also have a list of hotels and Airbnbs in the local area that we can recommend.

WHAT MONTHS DO YOU ACCEPT BOOKINGS?

We accept bookings from March - October. If you are hoping to book your event outside of these months, please get in touch and we will do our best to accommodate.

WHAT TIME CAN WE CELEBRATE UNTIL?

We ask that all music is turned off at midnight and carriages at 12:30am. If you would like to party for longer, this is subject to an additional £500 for every extra half an hour.

Drinks are managed by the caterers and we do not charge additional corkage. We have a delicious Woodmancote Place Wine List of local sourced and exceptional English wine.
